With its innovative recycling module, KEBA provides tomorrow’s
technology today. Bundles of up to 200 banknotes or up to 140 €
banknotes can be paid in, sorted and stacked and are immediately
available for withdrawal. The module can initially be used for cash-in
or cash-in/cash-out with separate banknote storage and recycling
function, which has been approved since June 2003 by the German
Central Bank for all the euro zone, can be locally activated later.
In self-service recycling, the paid-in notes are checked for fitness
and separated accordingly. Suitable banknotes are reused for withdrawal.
This saves time, effort and, of course, costs. Looking towards the
other side of the world, to Japan – the most technologically
advanced country in the field of banking automation – it is clear
that in the short or long term recycling will replace traditional
cash dispensers or terminals with separate cash deposit/withdrawal
several times over both there as well as in the rest of the world.
