A KePol boom in Denmark - KEBA supplies another 60 parcel stations to Post Danmark _2009-08-24
In Denmark, KePol parcel stations from KEBA are known under the name “Døgnposten” and are highly successful. Since November 2008, the Scandinavian nation has had 70 such stations in operation and now KEBA has received an order for a further 60, which are to be installed during this autumn.“TIL DIG DER ALDRIG ER HJEMME” (For those, who are never at home) is the slogan used by Post Danmark for its parcel stations and has clearly touched just the right nerve among the national population, who are using this automatic service to an ever-increasing extent.
At the end of March 2009, the number of parcels handled by the 70 available “Døgnposten” totalled some 100,000. Since then, the documented monthly rise in this figure underlines the pleasing development of the system and clearly the 24-7 service, which is based on KEBA’s KePol parcel stations, enjoys the acceptance of the Danes.
Reason enough for Post Danmark to enlarge its “Døgnposten” network through the order of 60 additional KePol systems from KEBA. These are to be installed throughout the country during September and October and will then go into immediate operation.
