"Environment, health and work-safety management certification" for an additional 3 years _2010-11-03
KEBA received the certificate for an additional 3 years from the Quality Austria Trainings-, Zertifizierungs- und Begutachtungs GmbH.
A systematic and clear leadership is a significant component for the success of the company. Supporting this is the introduction and maintenance of a management system aligned to the continuous improvement of performance.
The KEBA AG has thus been ISO 9001 certified since 1994. Three years ago, in addition to the ISO 9001, the KEBA AG was also awarded the certifications with regard to environment, health, and work-safety management system (ISO 14001 bzw. OHSAS 18001) and thus established an integrated management system.
A new audit was now able to be successfully completed. KEBA received the certificate for an additional 3 years from the Quality Austria Trainings-, Zertifizierungs- und Begutachtungs GmbH.
ISO 14001
The goal of environmental management according to ISO 14001 is the promotion of environmental protection and prevention of environmental damage consistent with socioeconomic requirements. The ISO 14001 standard, like the ISO 9001, is based on the idea of making processes controllable through management systems.
OHSAS 18001
The OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assesmet System) standard contains criteria for evaluating a work-safety management system for all companies, independent of industry and size. The introduction of this standard brings about a systematization of the safety activities and improvements of the processes
Elements from OHSAS 18001 can be developed into a comprehensive management system in combination with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. A company must fulfill the following criteria for OHSAS 18001 certification:

- Development of a safety policy
- Execution of a risk analysis, planning, objective and program creation for the reduction of occupational accidents
