On Tuesday July 17, 2008, innovations were certainly the center of attention at a very unique customer event held at KEBA. Normally, the KEBA headquarters in Linz are host to innovations of a more technical nature, but on this occasion, Austrian top chef Johann Lafer and a handful of selected guests were instead partaking in some masterful culinary innovations under the motto "Cooking unites".

"Johann Lafer is well known in Germany for his innovative recipes and unmistakable: We at KEBA AG stand for innovative solutions in the banking and industrial automation areas, so we thought it made perfect sense to bring KEBA and Lafer together for this unique event." explained Gerhard Luftensteiner, President of the KEBA AG.

Appearing at the event with Johann Lafer (second from left) were (from left to right) Dr. Ludwig Andorfer, chairman of the board of the Oberbank AG, the two Upper Austrian executive board members of both savings banks DI Peter Cecelsky, Dr. Michael Rockenschaub as well as the executive board member of the Salzburger Sparkasse Bank, Mag.Johann Lassacher, who all showed that even bankers know their way around a kitchen and benefited from the tips and tricks that Johann Lafer offered in his first cooking class in Austria.

KEBA's Luftensteiner was equally thrilled by the suggestions and techniques from the very successful German television celebrity chef. "When I have the time, I'm looking forward to trying out these recipes at home myself" said Luftensteiner and added "It was indeed an enjoyable, entertaining and successful evening all around".
