KEBA sponsors "Forum - Scholarship" of the Kunstuniversität Linz with € 10,000 _2008-06-23
KEBA places value on innovative cultural developments and promotes students and graduates.KEBA, the automation specialist from Linz, places great value on the design of its technical innovations. But the story doesn't end there: the importance of art and modern design are equally reflected in the KEBA headquarters in Linz (newly constructed in 2002). And KEBA is going one step further and sponsoring the Forum – Scholarship this year. This scholarship from the alumni association of the Kunstuniversität Linz, supports the projects of students and graduates of the Kunstuniversität Linz.
For the fifth time, a panel of experts has already selected the most outstanding plans this year from over 20 works submitted. On June 27, Karl Kletzmaier, chairman of the KEBA AG awarded the € 10,000 check to Mag. art. Marion Habringer for her project "hold the line please" following this year's scholastic ceremony and promotion celebration of the Kunstuniversität Linz.
"Design, in particular, is especially important to us since art here directly connects to our products. Observed over the long term, art is a fruitful soil from which new and changeable things are able to grow. This is the reason we chose to sponsor this scholarship", delights Karl Kletzmaier, chairman of the KEBA AG over the cooperation.
But this is not the first time the internationally successful electronics company has cooperated with the Kunstuniversität Linz. Thus, a student competition at the Kunstuniversität Linz was announced in the course of the new construction of the KEBA headquarters in Linz/Urfahr.
The result of this was the model of an innovative kitchen island. Today, this kitchen is a place of communication where employees meet during breaks and exchange ideas.
Alternating with the Raiffeisen Landesbank OÖ, KEBA will act as a sponsor for the Forum – Scholarship in the coming years.
Forum
The Forum – Graduates and Friends of the Kunstuniversität Linz was founded in 2001. The association is a communicative platform and link between its members, friends and partners. Since 2004, the Forum – Scholarship has been awarded to one excellent project which has been nominated by a jury.
