KEBA celebrates with pupils and students

Eleven educational institutions visited KEBA on their anniversary. Among them were the Higher Technological Institutes from Upper Austria, the Technical Universities of Hagenberg, Steyr and Wels as well as students from technical-oriented study programs at JKU Linz.
“Getting young people enthusiastic about our industry and our company is important to us,” explains Gerhard Luftensteiner, CEO of KEBA AG, “We’re certainly very attractive to future graduates due to our organisational form, which is very flat and market-oriented and optimally supports our ability to act in an agile way, as well as our high level of personal responsibility.”
Discovering the KEBA world
Visitors became acquainted with the scope of the company during a tour of the Innovation Lounges, which were areas of the company specially set up for the celebrations, dealing with the individual business segments. Pupils and students were also able to try out KEBA solutions themselves at many of the stations. For example, they could control a robot or charge an electric car. People constantly use the innovative products of this automation company even in their everyday lives. “People are often not aware that everyone is involved with KEBA on a daily basis. Whether it’s collecting goods purchased online at our post office, withdrawing money, where our company machines are often used, or playing the lottery,” says Gerhard Luftensteiner.
Viewing the electronics production facility allowed visitors to gain an insight into manufacturing at KEBA. The students were accompanied by team members who spent a whole day exchanging ideas with the young people.
Constant increase in employees
During the past financial year, KEBA grew by around 100 new employees. KEBA has already reached an impressive size of 1,130 employees worldwide. “We’re always looking for new employees who use their know-how and their ideas to develop new, innovative solutions,” explains Luftensteiner. “KEBA is looking forward to new employees for the future.” KEBA may have already recruited some of these future employees today.
