KEBA launches their new wallbox generation KeContact P40 / P40 Pro
KEBA, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of wallboxes, is expanding its portfolio and presenting the new KeContact P40 and P40 Pro wallboxes. It is the perfect expansion of the KEBA eMobility portfolio, which has been well-established on the market for years and is centred around the KeContact P30, a go to choice which has sold over 550,000 units. The wallbox is specifically developed for the requirements of home, fleet and semi/public charging.
KEBA and Easelink are working on a joint product

101 charging points for Swedish residential complex
Making a large residential building fit for the mobility of the future - that was the goal of the owners of a residential complex in Gävle, Sweden. For this reason, all 101 vehicle parking spaces were equipped with charging stations in 2022. A powerful and smart charging management solution was needed so that, even when fully occupied, everyone could charge at the same time and the investment would still be minimal. How long does it take to charge an EV?

Mobile or permanently installed: Which wallbox is right for you?
Those who want to be able to charge their electric car or plug-in hybrid at home face a decision: To buy either a mobile charging station or a permanently installed wallbox? Before deciding on one of the two options, you should ask yourself the following three questions in order to make the right choice.
Is it worth having a wallbox for my plug-in hybrid (PHEV)?
With modern plug-in hybrids, distances of up to 90 kilometers can be achieved purely electrically. That is usually enough for the commute to work or other everyday journeys. All the same, the batteries of these PHEVs are significantly smaller than those of purely battery-electric vehicles (BEVs). So, is a household socket sufficient for daily charging or does it still make sense to have a charging station?
IAA Mobility. New Name, New City, New Concept.
In 2021, the International Automobile Exhibition IAA became IAA Mobility. The name says it all: Rather than putting only the car at center stage, the focus was now on mobility today and tomorrow. In addition to cars, especially bicycles and even small airplanes were presented at the Munich Trade Fair Center.
Plug or wallbox?
The standard delivery of an electric car in Europe usually includes a Type 2 charging cable that can be used for charging at a public charging station or wallbox with a socket, as well as a so-called emergency power cable with a Type F plug for the standard 230 V power outlet. You can use this emergency power cable to charge your electric car (or PHEV) in your garage at home. But should you really do that? There are several reasons why you shouldn't.

Those who want to charge their cars not only at work or at public charging stations, but also at home, have to consider a number of aspects. Here are compact answers to the six most important questions, from the approval and installation of a wallbox to charging speed and electricity costs.
Charging at home or publicly?
A car with a combustion engine is refueled publicly at a service station. Why not do the same with an electric vehicle? After all, the public charging network has a large number of charging stations and gone are the days when people were forced to charge at home because the network had not been sufficiently developed. Four facts speak in favor of charging at home nonetheless.
Over 250,000 wallboxes sold
With over 250,000 wallboxes sold, KEBA is establishing itself as one of the largest manufacturers of charging solutions for hybrid and electric vehicles. In its Energy Automation division, the Austrian automation expert KEBA AG specialises in charging stations for electric mobility and heating controls for heat pumps and biomass heating systems.
KEBA named exclusive supplier for Honda Power Charger - the original charging station for the all-electric Honda e.
In the run up to releasing the first all-electric Honda e, KEBA was named the exclusive supplier for Honda Power Charger wall boxes. The charging station was jointly developed in record time and first presented at the last IAA in Frankfurt.
"Urcharge" project examines crucial questions about the viability of e-mobility for everyday use
One of the largest and longest electric mobility field tests in Austrian history starts tomorrow. For the project "Urcharge" (Urban Charging) 51 households in a Linz residential complex will be exchanging their fuel car for an electric car including their own KEBA charging station, which is integrated into the Linz AG charging solution "WallBOX CitySolution". It will provide answers to fundamental questions about what infrastructure and charging behaviour is needed in order to make the day-to-day use of e-mobility a decisive environmental protection factor in urban areas, even for densely populated areas. The start of the project had been postponed due to Corona - now the project gets underway.

The Austrian Energy Saving Fair is the annual event highlight on the topic of "the perfect and smart home". This year the electric mobility expert and market leader KEBA was once again well represented with numerous wall boxes, an expert lecture and participation in a panel discussion on the ORF stage.

5 days. 800 exhibitors. 65,000 m2 exhibition center. The Energy Saving Fair in Wels is Austria's leading trade fair for construction, bathroom and sanitation as well as for heating and energy. It attracts 95,000 visitors every year. Smack-dab in the middle of it all: our KEBA electric mobility expert Gerhard Wimmer. He has been invited to give a talk on "The Right Charging Station for My Electric Car".

KEBA charging station receives test rating "very good" (mark: 1.3)
As every year the German ADAC as well as and the Austrian ÖAMTC tested twelve charging stations for electric cars: half of the wallboxes put through their paces were not recommended. The KEBA KeContact P30 charging station received an overall rating of 1.3 (judgement: very good) and is therefore recommended without restriction by the two mobility clubs!

100,000 charging stations sold
The Austrian automation company KEBA has been active in the electric mobility market since 2009. The company is now celebrating the biggest milestone in its electric mobility history - 100,000 charging stations sold! The golden “anniversary wall box” went to Swedish e-mobility provider Clever and was recently installed in Sweden.
