KEBA wins internationally coveted design prize

Together with design agency idukk, KEBA can once again celebrate the iF DESIGN AWARD, one of the largest and most important design prizes. From 6,402 submitted products, an international jury selected KEBA’s KeMes laser angle measurement system as one of the winners of the coveted design label.

This is the fourth time that KEBA was able to shine with one of its products at the iF DESIGN AWARD. Receiving recognition this time was the newest member of the KEBA product family – the innovative KeMes laser angle measurement system: a brand new product that convinced the international jury of experts with its outstanding product features. And it did so in what was a record year for the prize, which included 6,402 entries from 54 countries in 2018.

Measure angles – easily and faster
KeMes stands for a completely new type of angle measurement and is designed for both manual as well as fully automatic quality control on press brakes. It is fastened to the upper die by means of magnets, thereby enabling measurement directly at the machine without interrupting the production process. Thanks to the simple mounting, the angle measurement device from KEBA can be quickly transferred to any bending machine. Complete quality control is possible with KeMes without any additional time – and with maximum accuracy and reproducibility.

For 65 years, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been recognized as an arbiter of quality for exceptional design. The iF label is renowned worldwide for outstanding design services, and the iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important design prizes in the world. Submissions are awarded in the following disciplines: Product, Packaging, Communication and Service Design/UX, Architecture and Interior Architecture as well as Professional Concept. All awarded entries are featured on the iF WORLD DESIGN GUIDE, in the iF design app and are displayed at the iF design exhibition Hamburg.
