The D3 controller is an ideally matched combination of controller and an optional safety controller. On the right side, 1, 2 or 3 axis controllers can be flexibly connected.

Thus, simple PLC applications up to complex multi-robots and machine tools can be realized. Even complex systems can be automated easily, safely and efficiently.

Options

The D3 controllers are available in two performance classes and with different master interfaces. As real-time master you can choose between 2 x EtherCAT or 1x Sercos 3 and 1x EtherCAT.

A multiprotocol Ethernet slave interface enables real-time connection to master controllers. The optional freely programmable safety controller already has safe inputs and outputs on board and thus enables the implementation of Safe PLC, Safe Motion and Safe Robotics applications.

Control

The D3 controller for PLC, motion, robotics and CNC is highly powerful and maximally flexible. Different CPU versions from Intel Atom Quad Core 1.9 GHz up to Intel Celeron 2 GHz enable application-optimized computing power so that visualization, image processing, PLC, motion, robotics and CNC can run cost-effectively on a single control system. A 2-line display supports fast configuration and diagnostics of the controller and drives.

Control and safety control in one device

The safety option integrated in the DU 3x5 serves as the core for safety solutions in robotics. Thanks to the integrated design, the requirements for compactness in the control cabinet are particularly well met. This safety controller implements the safety logic and, in combination with the encoder box, also safe motion monitoring both axis-related and in space.

Simple safety tasks up to extended safety-oriented robotics solutions can be implemented conveniently. The safety controller already has 30 fail-safe inputs or outputs and enables simple expandability via EtherCAT (FSoE).

A graphical programming tool with numerous predefined functions allows easy project planning of safety sensors and actuators up to entire robots. Inputs and outputs can be conveniently linked to the safety logic via drag & drop.
