The international KEBA Group, headquartered in Linz, Austria, is acquiring Transtechnik SAS, an established French specialist in automation and mechatronics solutions, thereby further expanding its presence in the French market.

Transtechnik, based near Dijon, is an established French specialist in bespoke automation solutions. Founded in 1987, the company supports industrial customers throughout the entire project lifecycle: from consultancy and planning through to the selection, design and integration of suitable components and commissioning. In this way, Transtechnik combines in-depth product expertise with a high level of application expertise to develop tailor-made solutions for industrial requirements.

With many years of market experience and close customer relationships, Transtechnik is firmly established in the French automation market. The company serves a wide range of customers across various industries, including cosmetics, packaging and food, and has extensive project engineering expertise.

KEBA and Transtechnik have been working together successfully in the field of industrial automation for many years. Building on this established relationship, Transtechnik SAS is now becoming part of the KEBA Group. In doing so, both companies are taking the next strategic step towards growth and laying the foundations for the further joint expansion of their business in France.

The French automation market is one of the largest in Europe. Through the acquisition of Transtechnik and its strong local organisation, KEBA is combining its extensive expertise in linear motor technology and customer applications with its established automation portfolio.

Transtechnik will become a wholly owned subsidiary within the KEBA Group’s Industrial Automation business area. The site in Ahuy near Dijon and the Transtechnik brand for the project business in France will be retained, and all employees will become part of the KEBA Group. The current owners will remain on board as the local management team and will help shape KEBA’s further development in France.

The contract was signed on 15 July 2026. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. The transaction is expected to close in autumn 2026, subject to all necessary regulatory approvals.

“The acquisition of Transtechnik is a logical step in our growth strategy for France. It strengthens our local presence in one of Europe’s most important automation markets and lays the foundations for further expanding our business there in the long term. At the same time, we are combining Transtechnik’s market and application expertise the technological breadth of the KEBA Group. In the medium term, this first location in France will enable us to establish a hub that we will use for local business development across all KEBA business areas.”

For KEBA, the acquisition represents an important strategic step in the expansion of its business in France. The Group is already successfully active in the French market with automation and self-service solutions, as well as charging infrastructure for electric vehicles. With Transtechnik, the KEBA Group now gains its own local site in France, strengthening direct support for industrial customers and supporting further market penetration overall.

“Transtechnik and KEBA have known each other for many years through our successful business relationship in the French market. Becoming part of the KEBA Group opens up new opportunities for us to further develop our range of solutions and to continue supporting our customers reliably and with a high level of technical expertise. At the same time, the Transtechnik brand, our team and our site in Ahuy near Dijon will remain – ensuring continuity for customers, partners and employees.”
