DPD Baltics - the parcel delivery market leader in the Baltic countries of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - decided to supplement its alternative delivery solutions with automated parcel terminals from KEBA. Most of the 45 outdoor automated parcel terminals have already been installed..

Hybrid network of pick-up shops and new automated parcel terminals
The investment in the parcel automation solution from KEBA is the second step of the comprehensive concept from DPD Baltics. The DPD Pickup parcelshops were opened in 2013, and these have now been expanded with automatic terminals for collection and drop-off of parcels.

“Taking into account the growth of the e-commerce market, the pace of its development and untapped future potential in both the e-business and private segments, last year we started a large network-improvement project integrating parcel terminals into the existing Pickup parcelshop network. This is the only hybrid (combined of parcel shops and automated parcel terminals) network in the entire Baltic region”, says Gabrielius Bilevicius, DPD Baltics Sales and Marketing Director.

Customers benefit here from all services related to parcel collection and drop-off. It is, thus, not only possible to pick up goods bought from online shops as well as make returns around the clock, but also to send parcels to any address within Europe Union territory or to any other automated terminal.

e-commerce market in the Baltics continues to grow
With DPD, yet another customer in the Baltics now relies on KePol automated parcel terminals from KEBA for offering customers a secure and convenient alternative delivery channel in the growing e-commerce market. The market is, however, far from saturated – experts still see great potential for growth and an increase in the demand for reliable automation solutions for the first and last mile.
