How the smart AI assistance system differs from traditional video surveillance and adapts to your specific needs

KeBob: As unique as your branch

Video surveillance is now used in many sectors. But in a bank branches, the requirements are different: here, it is not just about theft prevention or general security, but about highly sensitive processes, cash transactions and protection against tampering – and thus security on a whole new level. We have been developing solutions for banks for decades. We understand the workflows, risks and requirements of banking automation. This banking expertise is also built into KeBob. This means it is not a standard off-the-shelf AI camera, but a bespoke security solution that adapts to your branch, your processes and your brand. How does it work? Through four key customisation levels.

1. Bank-specific processes

The KeBob solution has been specifically developed for use in bank branches. This means that the AI is trained precisely for those situations that are critical in a banking environment. These include, for example, medical emergencies or shoulder surfing at ATMs, as well as potential attacks, attempts at tampering or face recognition. Should such an incident occur, KeBob knows exactly what to do and which departments need to be informed. With KeBob, you are not getting a generic surveillance solution, but a system that knows and understands your banking processes and supports you exactly where it really matters: directly in the branch, right at the point of customer interaction. This means less hassle in day-to-day operations and greater security for everyone in your branch.

2. White-label design

KeBob is not only customisable in terms of functionality, but also in terms of appearance. The display is a fully-fledged screen that can be completely adapted to your corporate design. LED colours, display content and facial animations can all be customised. Whether yellow, red, blue, green or your very own branding: KeBob blends seamlessly into your design.

Thanks to its brand-aligned design, KeBob becomes a natural part of your branch. This builds trust and acceptance – particularly when it comes to a sensitive topic such as video surveillance.

3. Language and Interaction

KeBob also adapts when it comes to communication. You decide which language it speaks (even dialects are possible), which messages it displays (e.g. “Please keep your distance” vs. “Please step back one metre”) and which voice it uses to do so. Multilingual output is also possible, which can be useful in border regions. This allows you to retain control over the tone used when communicating with customers in your branch. This is not just a question of brand management, but also of customer friendliness.

4. Expansion with additional cameras and interfaces

KeBob has a modular design: you can

  • connect up to four high-resolution cameras,

  • integrate existing camera systems, provided they meet the necessary requirements, and

  • expand the system at any time via Power over Ethernet (PoE), i.e. without complex cabling, to include additional KeBob Guards (interfaces).

Via the KeBob Cockpit, a web-based dashboard, you can keep track of everything at all times: Which areas are being monitored? Which events have been detected? What is the status of the cameras?

You start with a solution that suits your current situation and can expand it step by step as required. Whether new branch areas, additional cameras or extended functions: much is possible without having to set up the system from scratch.

Project planning at the heart of it all: not a standard solution, but your bespoke project

KeBob isn’t a product you simply order, set up and switch on. And that is precisely what sets it apart from basic (AI-powered) camera systems. Before KeBob is deployed in your branch, your specific requirements are analysed using branch floor plans or on-site: Where are the critical areas? Where exactly should the cameras be positioned? Which processes should be monitored?

One aspect that is often underestimated is camera positioning. Even the best AI relies on the data it has available. If the camera is positioned incorrectly, it detects incidents too late or – in the worst case – not at all. That is why we take a great deal of time for the planning.

Installation is followed by a four-week evaluation phase. During this time, the system initially runs passively: it observes, learns and collects data, but does not yet intervene actively. Together with you, we evaluate the results and make adjustments where necessary. Only when everything is working perfectly is the system finally activated.

And, of course, KeBob operates in full compliance with data protection regulations. Which data is stored, for how long, whether recordings are anonymised or pixelated, and who has access to them is agreed with you on a case-by-case basis.
