KEBA with AI assistance solution KeBob in Hanover

Visitors at the SVN Security Days 2026 discussing the AI-powered surveillance system KeBob at the KEBA stand.
On 14 and 15 April, the SVN Security Days organised by the Sparkassenverband Niedersachsen (SVN) took place in Hanover. This well‑established industry event brings together security managers, operations and facility managers, as well as representatives from internal audit and occupational safety within the Savings Banks of Lower Saxony. This year, KEBA was present as an exhibitor, showcasing its AI‑based assistance system KeBob.

Exchange on current security requirements in the Savings Bank environment

The SVN Security Days are regarded as an important forum for professional exchange on security, prevention and current threat scenarios in the Savings Bank environment. In addition to an extensive programme of specialist presentations, the accompanying exhibition offered ample opportunity for discussions with technology providers and service partners on practical solutions for the operation of self‑service areas and bank foyers.

Key topics included current security requirements for self‑service zones, new technological approaches, and practical experiences from the day‑to‑day operations of Savings Banks.

KeBob: AI‑based assistance for bank foyers

With KeBob, KEBA presented a solution that has been developed specifically for use in bank foyers. The AI‑based assistance system analyses video image data locally and in real time in order to identify situations in self‑service areas and respond immediately if required.

The demonstrated use cases of KeBob include, among others:

  • early detection of suspicious or dangerous situations

  • prompts to maintain distance at ATMs to prevent PIN spying

  • support in medical emergencies

  • automatic activation of connected security systems

  • consistent protection of privacy through local data processing without storing personal data

To achieve this, the system combines several hardware and software components – including KeBob Guard, server and I/O modules, as well as a central management platform – and can be integrated into existing security architectures.

Positive feedback and practice‑oriented dialogue

Over the two days of the event, KEBA used the SVN Security Days for numerous in‑depth discussions with security managers from Savings Banks. The focus was on concrete challenges in everyday operations of self‑service areas and on the added value of AI‑based assistance systems as a meaningful extension of existing security concepts.

KEBA’s participation in the SVN Security Days underlines the company’s commitment to working together with customers and partners to further develop future‑oriented solutions for greater safety and well‑being in the banking environment.
