The new pickup station is located in the foyer of the Citizens' Office in the former Sparkasse building and is accessible around the clock – even outside regular office hours.
“We are proud to offer this additional service to our citizens through the citizen's terminal without creating extra workload for our staff.”
By introducing the Citizen Service Box, the city is taking an important step towards a more citizen-friendly and digital administration. This solution not only enhances convenience for the public but also brings numerous advantages to the internal processes of the city administration.
Greater efficiency through digital processes
Each collected document is electronically recorded – giving the administration real-time information on pickups, completed applications, and the usage of the pickup station. This ensures transparency, planning reliability, and more efficient management of staffing resources.
The administrative side was quickly convinced of the added value as well:
“After learning about the functionality and benefits of the Citizen Service Box at an AKDB trade fair, it was clear to us that we also wanted to offer such a pickup station for the city of Unterschleißheim,” says Christian Brenner, Head of IT and Procurement.
Digitally Connected: KEBA & AKDB
The Citizen Service Box in Unterschleißheim is the result of a successful partnership between KEBA and AKDB: KEBA supplies the physical pickup station and parts of the control software, while the specialized administrative software OK.EWO comes from AKDB. This powerful combination of reliable technology and municipality-specific software enables a seamless, secure, and user-friendly process – from document preparation to collection by the citizen.
This joint solution creates real added value for municipalities:
More service for citizens – less effort for the administration.
The city of Unterschleißheim impressively demonstrates how collaboration and technology can make modern, digital administration a reality.
