Proven features, reimagined
We developed the new evo series with the goal of making an already strong device even more efficient and powerful. The dual recycling technology, with which we set new industry standards back in 2016, remains the core of the system and continues to enable the recycling of up to eight denominations in just five cassettes. New additions include larger cassettes for longer maintenance intervals, optimized banknote processing for even faster transactions, and a redesigned module layout that significantly reduces maintenance needs and the necessity for service interventions by cash-in-transit providers. One example: in the new evo series, we further improved the foreign-object removal process. Issues or jams caused by small items - such as paper clips in the coin tray - can now be resolved even more easily by branch staff themselves.
Speaking of problem resolution: with many ATM models, any malfunction requires a cash-in-transit service provider to verify that the banknote levels inside the device are correct. This leads to unnecessary costs and extended downtime. In the new evo series, the cash cassettes are, of course, once again securely stored in the safe, but banknote processing takes place separately before notes are transported into the cassettes. This means that malfunctions do not automatically necessitate the involvement of a service provider. Branch staff can resolve the issue themselves using the four-eyes principle. This measure significantly reduces both maintenance costs and downtime.
In addition to all these technical enhancements, installation was also taken into account: the new evo has the same width as previous models, allowing rapid integration at the same installation site. This enables replacement with minimal structural adjustments.
Despite - or rather because of - all these improvements, the devices in the evo series remain fully geared toward practical use. Just like their predecessors, they are built from robust, long-lasting components designed for daily operation, combined with an intuitive and carefully considered user interface. In other words: the evo continues doing what it has always done best - now even smarter, more efficient, and with added convenience for everyone involved.
Flexibly adaptable to any requirement
Banks and savings banks need to be more agile today than ever before. Branch concepts can vary significantly depending on location and catchment area. The cash recycling systems of the evo series are designed precisely for this. Their modular architecture allows each device to be optimally adapted to local requirements. Whether free-standing or wall-integrated, as an underridable model for convenient and discreet use by people in wheelchairs or with walkers, or equipped with additional modules such as a coin sidecar or NFC reader: the evo series offers the right solution for every requirement.
In developing the new devices, user-friendliness once again took center stage. From the beginning, one principle was clear: the high performance of the new cash recycling module must not come at the expense of ease of use. The numerous easy-to-use features that we developed together with our customers and end users were to be retained at all costs. We asked ourselves how proven functions could be made even more intuitive. The result, based on the “Design4all” approach, is a concept that once again revolutionizes self-service areas in bank foyers. Accessible operation, a clearly structured user interface, and an even better-positioned NFC module ensure that all users – regardless of experience or mobility – can complete their transactions easily and comfortably.
Secure and durable quality from KEBA
Security and stability were key priorities from the very beginning in the development of the new evo series. The devices are built from robust, long-lasting materials and components, designed to withstand the demanding environment of banks and savings banks – for many years to come. At the same time, the evo series takes things a step further. Smart technology, encrypted communication between modules, and well-engineered anti-manipulation mechanisms form a security concept that protects from the inside out.
Despite this, the evo remains flexible: many features can be retrofitted as needed and adapted to the specific requirements of the installation site. This allows the evo to offer maximum security without compromising on user convenience or operational efficiency.
Sustainable and energy-efficient
Sustainability is deeply rooted in KEBA’s DNA – and the new evo makes this clearer than ever. Durable materials such as metal and glass significantly reduce scratches and signs of wear. This not only minimizes the need for repairs but also extends the device’s lifespan and greatly increases the recycling rate at the end of its product life cycle.
However, sustainability for us goes beyond materials and longevity; it also means energy efficiency. The evo series operates with low power consumption, conserving valuable resources. An advanced energy-saving concept now reduces the device’s power usage even further. The newly developed deep-sleep mode lowers energy consumption by an additional 25%, from 20 watts down to just 5 watts.
