35 Years of Success – From KEMAS to KEBA
Since its founding in 1991, the Oberlungwitz site has stood for innovative strength, technological expertise, and intelligent automation solutions. The company has established itself as a leading provider, particularly in the field of secure handover and locker systems. KEMAS has been part of the internationally active KEBA Group for ten years. During this time, synergies have been leveraged, international market potential has been unlocked, and sustainable growth has been enabled. With the rebranding to KEBA Handover Automation Germany GmbH, this successful integration is now also reflected in the company’s brand identity.
A Celebration Full of Insights and Perspectives
The anniversary celebration offered guests a diverse program featuring personal encounters, expert input, and exclusive insights into the work carried out at the site. During themed tours, visitors were able to experience how work is conducted in Oberlungwitz, which current solutions the team is developing, and which innovations will shape future markets and customer requirements.
Particularly valuable were the many in-depth conversations with customers, partners, and long-standing companions. The personal exchange and fresh perspectives made the day a truly special experience. Besonders wertvoll waren die vielen intensiven Gespräche mit Kund:innen, Partnern und Wegbegleitern. Der persönliche Austausch und neue Perspektiven machten den Tag zu einem besonderen Erlebnis.
The anniversary celebration was far more than a retrospective of 35 successful years — it was also a strong signal for the future.
Momentum for the Future
In addition to reflecting on a successful company history, the event also focused on the future. Those responsible emphasized the importance of the Oberlungwitz site for the continued development of the Handover Automation business field as well as for the entire KEBA Group. Topics such as identity, shared values, stability, innovative strength, and international collaboration shaped the day.
An inspiring outlook was also provided by Simone Kaiser, Head of the Center for Responsible Research and Innovation (CeRRI) at Fraunhofer IAO, in her keynote on “The Work and Living Environments of Tomorrow.”
Looking Back with Pride – Moving Forward with Energy
The anniversary celebration was far more than a retrospective of 35 successful years—it was also a strong signal for the future. With KEBA Handover Automation Germany GmbH, a new chapter begins in Oberlungwitz—driven by experience, innovation, and a shared ambition to actively shape the future of automation.
