Reliability and flexibility
The foundation of KEBA DC technology
What sets a KEBA DC charging station apart? In short: uncompromising uptime, flexible performance, and maximum scalability.
This is made possible by a sophisticated modular system: Charging power is delivered via 40 kW power modules that can be added as needed up to 480 kW. If one module fails, the station keeps operating. The same applies to charging points: If one plug is unavailable, the others continue to work without interruption.
This architecture not only maximizes system availability but also ensures long-term investment protection. Operators benefit from predictable expansion paths and “Quality Made in Austria”, including in-house software that allows for fast and reliable updates.
The technological backbone: a modular architecture
No outages in case of module failure: The system simply reduces output temporarily but remains operational
Multiple charging points per station: Each connector functions independently of the others
Expandable and scalable: Additional power modules can be added at any time, no full hardware replacement required
Benefits for operators and CPOs:
Maximum uptime during day-to-day operations
Lower maintenance costs thanks to modular serviceability and free choice of service providers. KEBA does not limit access to certified partners but enables local servicing by independent technicians
Durability and long service life, with quality “Made in Austria”
Future-proof thanks to fully in-house, updateable software (e.g. for MID compliance or regulatory changes)
Bottom line: Choosing KEBA means investing in a system that grows with you – and adapts to future needs even a decade from now.

KEA: The digital assistant at the charging station
A glimpse into the future: Efficient operations meet smart user guidance
With KEA, KEBA is developing a multilingual digital assistant designed to interactively guide users through the charging process, intuitively, around the clock and across language barriers.
The goal: Simplify charging, remove barriers, and improve operational efficiency.
KEA is currently in the testing phase, with the first pilot projects already running at KEBA locations. Feedback from these tests directly shapes further development.
Early use cases (already tested in live environments):
-
Price comparison between different charge cards and direct payment
-
Step-by-step guidance, even for more complex charging processes
-
Multilingual support, ideal for international charging sites
Benefits for operators:
-
Fewer user dropouts thanks to intuitive and guided processes
-
Reduced support workload for service teams
-
Improved user satisfaction through accessibility and transparency
-
Competitive edge through a modern, differentiated user experience at the charging station
KEA is not yet a market-ready product, but a forward-looking concept currently under development. The aim is to explore real-world use cases in collaboration with pilot customers and continuously refine the system to maximize value.

Ready for the next generation of charging
KEBA combines robust fast-charging technology with digital innovation to offer operators and CPOs a sustainable, efficient, and future-proof system solution.
